Weekend Wear: Brooklyn Days

This weekend the husband and I took a trip to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was the first time we have been to the park all summer. When we lived in Carroll Gardens, we were at down at this park every other weekend. Now living in Bay Ridge we have to make a conscious decision to make the trek. We took for granted living so close to such a beautiful location. It's amazing how much has changed within a year, like the new shops along the water front including a huge beautiful West Elm. I'm so happy that we took a trip to downtown Brooklyn, it's by far one of my favorite areas of the city.

Weekend Wear: Summer Night Date Night

This weekend was the husband's Birthday weekend. We celebrated by trying out this Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. It was so nice to go out on a beautiful Sunday evening, sit outside and enjoy a good Italian meal. Though I still can't find gnocchi as good as it was in Florence.

When I bought this dress I had bought it in hopes of wearing and styling it in different ways. One of which was the idea of throwing a graphic tee underneath. Sometimes I have ideas, throw shit on, and hope for the best. Sometimes it works (like this did) and sometimes it doesn't. Lesson is, you just gotta go for it.

Hot summer days call for all white looks. Plus, flowy tank tops. I never feel like I wear this Free People tank top as much as I should during the summer as I never know what shorts to pair them with. My off-white lace shorts from Poof was just the perfect pairing for this bohemian look.
