Outfit Post: Beach Hair Without the Beach

There are some days that I miss my bangs but then I think about all the up keep...and then I quickly forget how much I miss it. Right now I'm taking full advantage of my shorter and lighter hair with and doing more messy beach looks. Since I'm a no fuss type of girl I like to do a easy overnight messy beach hair. Here's how I do it:

After showering and combing my hair I apply ARROJO Volume Foam and then spray in Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray.  I finger comb my hair a bit and then split into two sections. Then french braid both sides. In the morning after I take them out, but they have a bit of a crimp look. To achieve more of a beachy messy hair, I brush it out and finish with ARROJO American Wave Glint Texture and Shine Spray.

Inspirational Monday: Spring Hair

It's been way to long since I got my hair done. I haven't had time to really think about my hair, but then it hit me that it had been almost a year since I got my hair done. Not okay. So took to Pinterest finding cuts and color that I would like for the Spring/Summer. To be honest, there are times when I miss my bangs but if I'm 100% honest I do not miss the up keep. Getting them trimmed every two months, having to blow them out every time I took a shower. So I opted to once again skip on getting the bangs. This time, I went for a lighter color and choppy mid-length cut.

I've always been about the relaxed look...and this Spring is not any different. On the weekends I opt for the super casual look, which include my favorite pair of ripped boyfriend jeans from Madewell. I'm so happy that mules are back in style for the Spring/Summer. These shoes are so easy to throw on and go. Especially perfect when you are just running out to the store. Mules and ripped boyfriends jeans scream casually cool. They are like peanut butter and jelly...ice cream and sprinkles. You can't have one without the other...I mean you could but it would be boring.

There is nothing like a Saturday full of sunshine. This past Saturday was beyond perfection. We got a taste of summer...and I want --scratch that-- need more of it. There's nothing like spending a Saturday doing all the things that you love to do in the summer in the middle of Spring. Which included Van Leeuwen icecream and pretty cocktails.
