Style Guide: How to Wear Shorts to Work
The secret to wearing shorts to work is all in the length of inseam. When picking out a pair of shorts for work you don't want to go any shorter then a 6 inch inseam (for you taller ladies with legs for days you might want to look for longer length, 6 1/2 to 8 inches, I find that 6 inches works for my height 5'6"). Look towards brands that cater towards woman work wear like Loft, Ann Taylor, J.Crew and even brands like Zara that have lengthier shorts. Pair them up with a casual work wear top or printed tee, and always a pair of flats to low heel.

Always keep in mind your office's dress code. If you don't know the dress code get in-touch with your HR Department or assume that nothing should be shorter then finger length above the knee. For longer length cuts, try Bermuda shorts (here, here, and here).

I use to spend a lot of time down at the South Street Sea Port as a teenager, so when I go down there now there's always something new. Last week I was invited to checkout the grand opening of Ambrose Hall Beer and Lobster. South Street Sea Port area has changed so much there are less chain stores (A&E and Guess are the few that still exist) and more mom and pop shops. This beer hall is amongst those little shops. I can't wait for the construction to be done on the actual pier, I have a feeling I'll be spending more time down there once everything re-opens...and eating delicious pretzels and lobster rolls at Ambrose Hall.

How to Wear a Little Black Dress In the Spring
This Spring might be all about the LWD (Little White Dress), but lets be real the LBD is a classic that won't ever be toss aside. Plus, throwing anything black aside for a season is like a crime in New York. To make a LBD work in the Spring, work one into your wardrobe that has a light texture to it like eyelets (like this one), mesh (this one), or even a light crochet dress (and this one). These textures help give a light airy feeling. Continue this feeling through out the whole by adding pops of colors through your accessories, whether it's a colorful bag, jewelry, or shoes. Make sure not to do over do it with the colors, choose your one item to really be your statement maker.

I've had this crochet Zara dress for a couple of seasons now. I love breaking it during the Spring, as it light, feminine, and fun to pair with brighter colors. I kept my lipstick for my day look pretty neutral as I did a bold necklace, I didn't want the two to fight for the spot light. The LBD in the Spring works for the office and those Spring/Summer wedding

Sometimes you need to slip into a little crop top and go out with your best friend for a bottle of wine...or two. Every girl needs her girls night to catch up with her gal pals, chat about boys, life, and everything else in between...over one to many drinks.
Nothing tops off an outfit like freshly painted nails! I teamed up with Londontown to show you how you can complete your Spring looks with their new Spring Collection. Londontown created a 12 piece collection full of perfectly toned pastels, brights, and glitter polishes. These colors can easily match your look or add a pop of color to you spring outfit. See how Londontown help inspire some of my favorite Spring looks.

Play match maker to your nails. Have fun this Spring with it's must have pastel colors by matching your nails to your outfit. I paired my favorite J.Crew sweater with Londontown's Chuffed to Bits. To keep the look from being to matchy-matchy, add a pop of color to your toes. Reverse the Charges was the perfect complimentary pop of color to my mani and sweater.

This Spring it's all about the Little White Dress (LWD). To avoid your look from being washed out add pops of color. When doing a white dress I like to go light on the face and go bold on the lip and nails. For me when I do a mani-pedi I like to do colors that are complimentary. I like to go bright (or dark) on the pedi and go light on the nails. Londontown's Piccadilly Square is the perfect color to brighten up any look. While Love Bite #9 is a great soft pastel pink to be paired with this vibrant coral color.

Just like winter has it's luxe textures, spring has it's. When I think about spring textures, lace and embroidery always comes to mind. I love playing with textures, whether it's pairing a denim jacket with a lace skirt or sparkly pair of heels with an embroidered skirt. Compliment your spring textures with textured nails. For this I went light and delicate. I used Londtown's Lovely Jubbly and for texture I used Glassglow Glamour, which also adds a bit of sparkle.

Outfit Post: Oh the Flounce-y Flounce-y
Shirt: Forever21 | Skirt: Zara | Shoes: Jessica Simpson via DSW | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses: Feathers Boutique

Not going to lie...every time I wear this skirt I sing the line "Oh the flossy flossy" from Fergie's song "Glamourous" ...but replace it with "Oh the Flounce-y Flounce-y"...And now you all know how cheesy I really am. Anyway...I'm so in love with this Forever21 button down. I know, it's pretty basic but it has easily become one of my go-to shirts. It's so transitional and fun to play with. I just wish I had bought this top in different colors while I was there. I guess this just gives me an excuse to go back.
Do you guys have a favorite item but in multiple colors?
