Summer Trend: Placid Blue

It's no secret that I'm a total fan of pastel toned colors. When I saw that the powder blue (Pantone calls it: Placid Blue) was in for this Spring/Summer I was more then delighted. Even designers like Alexander Wang had even embraced placid blue and pastel pinks into his line. We saw Zara come out with their powder blue motor-jacket (which I still kick myself for not getting) and other accessories. The trick in wearing this color trend is to pair it with neutral simple tones or classic prints (ie stripes and polka dots). Or add in powder blue accessories to a monochrome look to make it pop.

This spring I'm fully embracing the powder blue trend and even brought out my old H&M powder blue colored jeans. I paired my jeans up with my favorite striped shirt and lobster print scarf for a fun summer Friday office look. To pull the whole look together, I paired it up with neutral toned sandals.
