NYFW: Taking a Mini Trip to Hawaii with Mara Hoffman Spring 2013

I like to believe Mara  Hoffman is like my long lost beachy sister. Her vibe and her clothes are so ultra chill. I just wish I could wear them all the time, even her Fall collection is boho beachy most of which won't hold up if we have a brutal New York winter. After being denied last season to her show this season I was able to attend her Spring 2013 show, well I barely made it in (thankfully I get to where I need to be early especially when I have a standing ticket). Yes that's right they over booked the show and had to turn people away. Anyway, despite the madness that inside, I still managed to squeeze my way in between people to get a couple of shots and to watch the show.

Hoffman's collection was everything I was hoping and expecting: beautiful beachy prints, maxi dresses and skirts, cropped tops, and cutout dresses. She even started and ended the show with girls singing and playing the ukele! How awesome is that? Not only did the clothes and music bring you the feeling of being in Hawaii but so did the leaf head pieces. I mean seriously this whole collection makes me crave my Hawaii trip even more.

Of course, I'm in love with all the colorful bustiers. I still have my H&M knock off that I wish it was a Mara Hoffman bustier. This is without a doubt on the top of my list of my favorite shows that I saw for Spring 2013.
