NYFW: Honor Fall 2012

There is nothing like the few minutes before the runway show actually begins. When the tape comes off the runway, the lights dim, then the music starts and the runway lights come on -- that's when the adrenaline really begins. This especially holds true when it's the first fashion week show of the season and this year I got to kick off my season with Honor. And it truly was an Honor.

Giovanna Randall stuck with what she knows best-- flirty dresses and feminine cuts. Unlike her Spring 2012 collection this Fall 2012 collection is a lot darker: lots of black and purple. To keep it from looking to dark she add pops of colors in her collections like a red boat neck dress and a blue piped wool blazer. I loved her technique of doing floral organza overlays and her mix of interesting prints. Her collection was youthful but definitely has a great range. This collection has a bit of everything from essentials like a modern day suit along to the stand out dress.
