FBFF: Finding the balance
1. When it comes to prioritizing your life, in what place does blogging fall? Blogging does come high on my list but I don't let it get in the way of the time I get to spend with my boyfriend at home or let it get in the way of me wanting to do things I want to do. Blogging is very important to me but we all need our times for ourselves and time to spend with other people. If we are consistently on we will burn ourselves out.
2. We all wish we had more free time to dedicate to blogging and all it entails. What are your tricks for taking advantage of the time you do have to be as productive as possible?
Whatever down time I have or whenever I'm feeling motivated I try to get myself to blog. I find some of my down time at work (shhhh) but even at home if my boyfriend is making dinner or if he's doing something else like working on his website I'll find myself blogging. These opportunities are important to jump on because they might not come around to often or even if it's just for 30 minutes I'll use it to my fullest advantage.
3. Have you discovered any short-cuts that makes blogging easier or more time efficient?
I am now using the scheduling post a lot more. I like using this feature because it allows me to make as many post as I can and get them ready to go, this is specially useful when I'm totally busy and I have some down time to pump out a few post.
4. Do you have an editorial calendar or something similar that helps you plan ahead?
Hmmm interesting no I don't. I know the features that I do every week but I'll admit that sometimes I don't have the time to do them regularly so I end up missing them but I usually try to make it up the next day.
5. If time wasn’t an issue what you would be doing on your blog/for your blog that you aren’t doing now?
I'd probably spend more time researching and looking up websites, blogs, etc.. I would also spend the time really looking at all the designers runway shows, I'm so behind on the Fall 2011 collections.
