K. Borgella Spring 2011 line was her debut collection. She has worked with lines such as J.Crew and Armani Exchange. This year she created her own line which "represents women who look to make a statement, who love color, great fabrics, and texture, but ultimately women who just want to look and feel good in what they are wearing" (facbeook.com/kborgella). Her spring collection is definitely all about color and textures and all her pieces are statement makers. There is no mistaking that wearing one of her pieces will be a head turner. Her Spring 2011 collection features bright printed patterns, the staple black dress, sequins, and ruffles.
One look at her collection and you can tell the love and the passion that she puts into making her line. Every piece is well made and stands out on its own. My favorite pieces from her collection were the sequin dress, sequin pants, and the purple jumper dress.
Really there's no shock here that I loved the sequin pieces. These pieces stood out the most to me because they were gorgeously made and the jumper dress is such an innovative piece. I was absolutely in love with the sequin dress. If I was a buyer I'm pretty sure I would have bought that dress in bulk. The cut of the dress is gorgeous and the colors of the sequins really stands out. By using sequins in her spring 2011 she shows that sequin's isn't only for the holidays and it's perfectly okay to look glam any time of the year.
Overall K. Borgella's collection is refreshing. I can see her pieces being worn by woman everywhere. There is definitely something for every woman in this collection. The use of colors is perfect for spring but I can also see her pieces being worn through out the year. Keep an eye out for Kareen Borgella!
