Lake George Here We Come
I started packing tonight when I got home from work and I picked out my outfit that I'm going to wear on the train up to Lake George. I wanted to keep it totally comfy but chic. Plus I haven't worn the hermes pants that I bought from H&M yet. Here is my comfy sailor inspired outfit that I will wear tomorrow:
Pants: H&M
Necklace: American Eagle
Of course I over packed. Especially compared to my boyfriend. Here is a look at both our suit cases.

Day to Night Looks
Tunics are a big summer buy. Tunics are easy to wear since they are one piece and easy to dress up or down. They are great to wear to the beach because all you have to do is take off one layer of clothes and its a easy cover up. For day time you can dress your tunic with a floppy straw hat, a straw beach bag, sandals, colorful accessories and a simple necklace. To take this look to night dress it up with some sandal heels, a clutch or a small purse, and dressy jewlery. Below I took Topshop's Vingtage Lace Tunic from day to night.

This dress looks amazing on her. I love the sequins on it because its just the right amount of glam and the flow of the dress is perfect. Dresses with sequins aren't only perfect for New Years Eve but for a night out on the town, a wedding, or to a special event. Even for Prom, as I know Prom season has started.
You can pull this look off with a simple dress with sequin top piece and strappy heels. You don't even have to over accessories just a little gold bracelet and simple earrings, like Swift, and a clutch bag would pull the look together.

Chiffon Baby Doll Dress with Sequin Bra clipped by salvsnena: $56 - goddiva.co.uk; French Connection Black & White Raffia Clutch: $51 - asos.com; Guess Shoes Tailgate - Pewter Multi Texture: $85 - heels.com 3. Sequined Strapless Dress: $62 - yesstyle.com; Vintage Bag with Small Chain: $79 - mysugarland.co.uk; Fergie Womens Joust Shoes (Gold Metallic): $89 - fergieshoes.com
For shoes and clutches you should stick with trying to match the sequin in the dress. If the dress has gold sequin match it with a gold bag and gold shoes, like in the 3rd look.
Another way to pull this look off you can wear a sequin tank top or tube top with a high wasited white skirt. The good thing with doing seperates is that you can pick the length or ruffles of the skirt or the color of the sequins you want.

I tapped into my wild side today and wore my leopard print shirt. Someone else tapped into their wild side too and wore a pink leopard print shirt with a black skirt (great minds think a like). I must say I always liked purple and leopard print. Whenever I wear this shirt I usually wear my purple cardigan, which stayed mostly in my bag and on the back of my chair today. Thank god it's hot out again! I mistakenly almost took 6am for 7am because the sun was so bright. I can't believe it's going to be 90 tomorrow! Two more days until I can really enjoy this weather!!! I can not wait for this weekend! Lake George here I come!!
Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Aren't these wedges the cutest thing ever? I love the floral bow and that they are wedge sandals. They also look very comfy.
I was inspired by these shoes to create a set around them on Polyvore.

Vest: Forever21
Necklace: borrowed from mom
At least tomorrow is Saturday and my big plans are staying in bed and watching The Wire on HBO demand. I haven't seen an episode of The Wire but I've been interested in watching it ever since I read the book The Lush Life. It sucks that HBO only has season 3 on. All well. If I wasn't sick I had plans on going to Forever21 since I still have a gift card from when I returned some clothes, I also wanted to stop by American Apparel and try on their one piece bathing suit. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, maybe I'll just go to American Apparel since it's all of one block from my parents.
Hope you all have some great plans for the weekend!! Enjoy!

Shirt and Belt: Charlotte Russe
Shorts: H&M
Necklace: My moms(hahaha!)
Sandals: Forever21
Bag: Shiraleigh from ByMe Boutique
I love being home because I steal stuff from my mom all the time. Well not steal....borrow :) I'm also obsessed with my bag. I bought it on Saturday and haven't stopped using it. ByMe Boutique is awesome, if you live in Brooklyn or in the City you should go stop by. They have such great unique clothing and accessories for prices that are pretty decent. I'm also very excited because my boyfriend bought me some links to fix my purse he bought me for my birthday. The links on the zipper broke quite a few times and finally it just gave up so I haven't been able to use it, which sucks because I know that he spent good money on it.
At least tomorrow is Friday! WOOHOO!! I hope you all are having a great week! :)

I love Parker becasue of her style also how can you not love Carrie. The picture below (from style.com) is from the New York City Ballet Spring Gala. Parker is seen in: "an Elie Saab dress, L'Wren Scott jacket, and Alexander McQueen shoes, with a Leiber clutch and Fred Leighton jewels."
I love the stand out color of her shirt. Gives the outfit more of a pop. You to can get this look without going bankrupt.

You can steal this look by wearing a lace dress with a satin jacket over it, peep toe shoes, and a bright clutch bag. To change it up a bit you can do a satin cardigan or a satin button down t-shirt. For the clutch bag do something with a pattern, whether it is patch work, studds, or sequins. Stick with the peep toe shoes but you can change it up with a sequin peep toe or a satin peep toe. If you want to go for a bright color do something with silver or a metalic silver.
It's a great look for something formal like a wedding or something a little casual like a date or a night out at the ballet.
